Getting Started in BedWars
BedWars is a PvP strategy game where you protect your bed while trying to destroy others'. The first thing to do in every match is upgrade your generator and buy blocks to protect your bed. Use wool or clay for initial defense — obsidian comes later.
Never leave your bed undefended. A simple layer of endstone or clay buys you 5-10 seconds of reaction time when an enemy attacks. Always check the map for enemies sneaking around with invisibility potions or grappling hooks.
Strategy Guide & Kit Tier List
Your kit defines your playstyle. Crystal is the best offensive kit — its ability lets you teleport through blocks to surprise enemies. Freiya is excellent for defense with her ice walls. Yuzi is a strong all-rounder for solo queue.
Rush mid as soon as you have enough iron for blocks and a sword. The team that controls mid resources (emeralds and diamonds) wins most games. Upgrade your generator before buying expensive items — a tier 2 generator pays for itself within 2 minutes.
Pro Tips
Rushing strategy depends on map size. On small maps (2v2), rush the enemy bed immediately with wool and a wooden sword — speed is everything. On large maps (4v4), build a mid bridge first for emerald gen control. The team that secures mid emeralds in the first 2 minutes wins 80% of matches.
Team composition matters. Pair Crystal (teleport) with Freiya (walls) for an unbeatable combo. In solo queue, pick Yuzi or Evelynn — they're self-sufficient. Never pick Bard in solo queue — support abilities need voice communication.
Resource management: spend iron on blocks, gold on swords and armor, diamonds on generator upgrades and team buffs, emeralds on obsidian. The most common mistake is spending emeralds on swords instead of obsidian for bed defense.
