Doors is a horror game set in a haunted hotel where you must navigate rooms 1-100 while avoiding deadly entities. Move slowly and listen — audio cues tell you which entity is approaching and how to counter it.
Always check for hiding spots (closets and beds) before opening a door in later rooms. Rush and Ambush both trigger when you spend too long in a room, so keep moving but be ready to hide.
Item Guide & Survival Tips
Items are scattered throughout the hotel. Lockpicks let you skip locked doors without finding the key. The crucifix can banish some entities permanently but only works once. Vitamins give you a speed boost — use them to outrun Seek in the library chase.
Figure is blind but hears everything. When you enter rooms with Figure (Door 50), crouch-walk and only sprint when you're far away. Throw the breaker room items to create noise in a different direction. For the Door 100 Figure encounter, hide in the locker and use the code you got from the library painting to open the exit door.
Pro Tips
The crucifix is the rarest and most valuable item in Doors. It can banish Rush, Ambush, or Screech permanently if used correctly. Check every drawer and closet shelf for it — the crucifix appears most often there. Save it for Ambush, the hardest entity to survive without one.
Badge hunting gives the game longevity. Try 'Detour' (complete Door 50 without damage from Figure), 'Rock Bottom' (reach Door 100 without hiding), or 'Speed Run' (complete in under 30 minutes). Each badge requires entirely different strategies and item loadouts.
Modifiers change the game after your first clear. 'Worse Lighting' reduces visibility to 5 studs for audio-only practice. 'Locked and Loaded' removes all items from the map. Start with easier modifiers before attempting 'Try Hard' which combines all negatives.
