Navigating the First Levels
The first 5 levels are tutorial zones with simple traps (arrow traps and pitfall floors). Move slowly and look for discolored floor tiles — pressure plates trigger traps within a 3-tile radius. The Torch of Revealing (A-tier) highlights all traps within 10 tiles for 15 seconds.
Dead ends are common — mark them by leaving a rock at the entrance. The 'right-hand rule' (always follow the right wall) solves most simple mazes but fails on spiral sections. The Map Fragment item reveals 30% of the current level's layout.
Surviving the Deep Maze
Levels 10+ introduce shifting walls that rearrange every 60 seconds. Use the Ariadne's Thread (S-tier) to mark your path with a glowing line visible only to you. The Minotaur boss appears at level 15 — it chases you through the maze and can destroy walls.
The Daedalus Key (S-tier) opens the exit door at each level without needing to find the standard key. It's found in a secret room on level 7 that only appears if you've collected all 3 Map Fragments. The Phoenix Feather revives you once per run if you die.
