Getting Started in Doors

In Roblox Doors your only goal is simple: open doors and survive. You begin in the Hotel elevator and must reach door 100 without dying. Each room is procedurally generated, so no two runs feel identical. Sound is your best friend — footsteps, flickering lights, and distant screams all warn you about what is coming.

Always check drawers and beds. Drawers contain gold, batteries, keys, and healing items. Beds are hiding spots in some rooms, but never hide under a bed when a closet is closer during a Rush attack. New players often waste stamina by sprinting everywhere; walk by default and only run when an entity is chasing you or you are crossing a large room.

Play with headphones if possible. Directional audio tells you whether Rush is coming from ahead or behind, and many entities like Screech or Halt have unique audio cues that give you extra reaction time.

Floor Guide: Hotel & Mines

Doors currently has two main floors, each with its own hazards and boss encounters. Understanding the layout of each floor makes the difference between a casual run and a successful escape.

  • Floor 1 — The Hotel: Doors 1-100 set inside a haunted hotel. The main threats are Rush, Ambush, Eyes, Screech, Halt, and Figure. Seek chases appear twice, and Figure guards door 50 and door 100.
  • Floor 2 — The Mines: Doors 101-200 take place in dark mine tunnels. New traps include Snare, which grabs your ankle and deals damage, and a larger emphasis on flashlight batteries. Figure returns in a more open, industrial environment.

Both floors hide secret rooms behind special doors. Look for rooms with unusual wallpaper, broken boards, or extra locks. These rooms often contain the Skeleton Key, rare items, or bonus gold that can fund extra supplies from Jeff's Shop.

Entity Guide & Tier List

Entities are the monsters trying to stop your run. Some are simple distractions, while others will end your run instantly if you misread the warning signs. This tier list ranks them by how dangerous they are on an average run.

S Tier Run-ending

Ambush, Figure, Seek

A Tier Very dangerous

Rush, Halt, Eyes, Screech

B Tier Moderate threat

Snare, Dupe, Timothy

C Tier Minor nuisance

Jack, Shadow, Hide

Rush announces itself with flickering lights and a distant rumble — hide in the nearest closet immediately. Ambush works like Rush but rebounds multiple times, so stay in the closet until the blue glow is truly gone. Screech spawns in dark rooms and whispers; look directly at it to make it disappear. Figure is blind but has excellent hearing, so crouch-walk and only move when it is far away. Seek triggers scripted chase sequences; follow the correct path and never look back.

Item Tier List

Items spawn in drawers, on shelves, or can be bought at Jeff's Shop. Choosing the right loadout is especially important in the Mines, where darkness and Snares drain your resources quickly.

S Tier Essential

Crucifix, Skeleton Key

A Tier Excellent

Flashlight, Lighter, Vitamins

B Tier Useful

Lockpick, Candle, Bandage

C Tier Situational

Alarm Clock, Encyclopedia, Bulklight

Flashlight: Your primary light source. Turn it off in safe, lit rooms to save battery. In the Mines, keep at least one spare battery for the long dark corridors. Crucifix: A single-use item that repels most entities. Save it for Ambush rebounds or an unexpected Figure encounter. It cannot stop Seek or every scripted event, so do not waste it on minor threats like Timothy or Jack.

Working Doors Codes

Redeem these codes from the game's code menu for free revives, knobs, or cosmetic rewards. Codes are case-sensitive and expire quickly, so use them as soon as possible.

Survival Tips & Secret Rooms

Surviving to door 100 is about patience more than speed. Never open the next door immediately after entering a room — wait a moment to see if lights flicker or audio cues trigger. Rushing door-to-door is the most common cause of death for new players.

Secret rooms are hidden behind breakable walls, locked doors, or rooms that look slightly different from the rest. The most useful secret is the Skeleton Key room, which can spawn on any floor and lets you skip a locked door. Other secrets include extra gold stashes and the rare Jeff's Shop alternative layout that sells discounted items.

In co-op, spread out to search drawers faster, but stay close enough to warn each other about entities. The Crucifix works on entities targeting any player nearby, so a well-timed Crucifix can save a teammate from Ambush. Finally, if Hide starts pushing you out of a closet, leave immediately — staying too long in one hiding spot becomes lethal.
